Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before using zity Editor. By downloading or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. Questions? zity@cybzity.com

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of zity Editor (the "App"), operated by cybzity.com ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

zity Editor is a mobile-first code editor providing:

  • A code editing environment powered by CodeMirror 6
  • Local file system management via expo-file-system
  • Git operations via isomorphic-git
  • GitHub authentication via Supabase OAuth
  • Live HTML/CSS/JS preview in a sandboxed WebView

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You may use the App without an account for local file editing. GitHub integration requires authentication via your GitHub account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.

3.2 Account Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and request deletion of your account data by emailing zity@cybzity.com. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Write, store, or distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network
  • Harass, abuse, or harm any person
  • Transmit spam or unsolicited communications
  • Circumvent any security feature of the App

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all code and content you create using the App. Your files are stored locally on your device and we claim no rights over them.

5.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you create, store, and share. By using GitHub integration, your code is also governed by GitHub's Terms of Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, logo, code, and content (excluding your user content), is owned by cybzity.com and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of the App without our written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with GitHub and Supabase. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CYBZITY.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless cybzity.com, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Open Source Components

The App uses open-source libraries including CodeMirror 6, isomorphic-git, Expo, and React Native — each under their respective open-source licenses. A full dependency list is available in the App's GitHub repository.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which cybzity.com is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
